The Denver Broncos haven’t been very impressive lately, but they are somehow finding ways to win. Denver leads the AFC West and is taking a seven-game win streak into a tough Week 11 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Winning ugly is still winning, and the Broncos have been doing that. The offense has left a lot of points on the field, but the defense is handling its business and making sure the streak continues.
Now, that defense has a chance to make NFL history against the Chiefs in the divisional showdown.
“With 4+ sacks against the Chiefs, the Broncos will be one of just three teams in NFL history to have 50+ sacks in their first 11 games. Will join the 1989 [Minnesota] Vikings and 1987 [Chicago] Bears,” Zac Stevens wrote on X.

The Broncos have 16 players with at least half a sack this season, led by Nik Bonitto at 9.5. The relentless pass rush has been this team’s calling card so far, and just like the Philadelphia Eagles did in last season’s Super Bowl, that’s the best way to neutralize Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Mahomes has been getting sacked more over the past two seasons, as the Kansas City offensive line hasn’t been as stout as it used to be. If Denver can get to him and make history, the winning streak could reach eight games.
