The Denver Broncos escaped their Week 10 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders with a narrow 10-7 victory that raised more questions than answers. Second-year quarterback Bo Nix struggled throughout the contest, finishing with 150 passing yards and two interceptions that marked a clear step back from his rookie campaign.

The offensive performance sparked concern among fans and drew criticism from analysts who pointed directly to Nix’s underwhelming play as the primary issue. Nix recently revealed he deleted social media to block out external criticism as scrutiny of his performance continues to mount.

ESPN’s Freddie Coleman addressed those comments Thursday while urging the young quarterback to focus on what matters most heading into a critical divisional matchup.

“You’re playing a team in Kansas City that you have a 2.5 game lead on right now… You lose a game like this, and you play like that, if you’re Bo Nix, you can have any kind of excuse you want. I don’t pay attention to social media. You better be paying attention to the people looking at you in your locker room, saying, ‘Man, I want, if this year, if he’s gonna be guy enough for us,’ with this defense and an underrated running game led by J.K. Dobbins to be the kind of team we’re supposed to be,” Coleman said.

Denver enters the week with an 8-2 record despite leading the league in both three-and-outs and penalties. Their consistent pass rush has carried them through stretches where the offense has faltered.

Questions about schedule strength and the quality of their wins continue to follow the team, but they currently sit atop the AFC West standings. Sunday’s showdown against the Kansas City Chiefs will test whether Denver can maintain that position.

Kansas City enters at 5-4 and is looking to reassert control over a division it has dominated for nearly a decade. Nix will need to deliver a significantly improved performance if the Broncos hope to extend their lead.

Through 10 games, Nix has thrown for 2,126 yards with 18 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He has been sacked just 10 times thanks to solid offensive line protection and his own mobility, leading the league with a 2.78% sack rate.

His four game-winning drives offer encouragement despite inconsistent accuracy on deep throws. Denver shows no indication of considering a quarterback change as Nix continues developing in his second NFL season.
