BetBoom Team, Team Liquid, OG and Team Spirit improved to 2-0 in the group stage of PGL Wallachia Season 6 on Sunday in Bucharest, Romania.

BetBoom swept Natus Vincere 2-0, winning in 37 minutes and 64 minutes on green. Liquid pushed past Xtreme Gaming 2-1, sandwiching a 25-minute win on green and a 51-minute triumph on red around Xtreme’s 35-minute win on red.

Meanwhile, OG also won 2-1 over Tundra Esports — prevailing in 59 minutes, falling in 38 minutes and winning in 36 minutes, playing on green each time. And Team Spirit rallied past MOUZ 2-1, following MOUZ’s 37-minute win on green with 33- and 47-minute victories on red.

BetBoom, Liquid, OG and Spirit are now one win away from advancing to the playoff stage. They’ll pair up in Round 3, with the winners improving to 3-0 and immediately moving on.

There were also four matches between 0-1 teams on Sunday, and the four losing sides are now on the precipice of elimination.

All four matches ended with 2-0 scorelines: PARIVISION swept Team Cobra, Team Tidebound blanked Yakult Brothers, HEROIC defeated Roar Gaming and GamerLegion topped Nigma Galaxy.

The group stage features a modified Swiss style of 16 teams competing in five rounds from Saturday through Wednesday. All matches are best-of-three. The top eight teams advance to the playoffs on Nov. 20-23 and the remaining eight are eliminated.

The playoffs use a double-elimination bracket with all matches best-of-three except for the grand final, which is best-of-five. The tournament has a $1 million prize pool, with $300,000 first prize.
