The fourth season of the DP World International League T20 is all set to begin on December 2, bringing together some of the world’s finest T20 talent and the region’s top cricketers for another high-octane edition of the tournament. As the league prepares for a new season, here’s a look at the standout performers and defining records that have shaped the competition across its first three editions.

Top Run Scorers

  •  Alex Hales (Desert Vipers) – 1,156 runs in 35 innings

  •  James Vince (Gulf Giants) – 1,055 runs in 33 innings

  •  Nicholas Pooran (MI Emirates) – 1,010 runs in 30 innings

English batter Alex Hales, who will feature for the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in Season 4,  leads the all-time run charts with nine half-centuries and a century in his three seasons for the Desert Vipers. James Vince has been the anchor of the Gulf Giants’ batting unit with a tournament-high of 10 half-centuries, while Nicholas Pooran’s explosive stroke play and remarkable average of 45.90 have put him amongst MI Emirates’ key match-winners, with seven scores of fifty or more.

Among UAE players, Muhammad Waseem has been a standout performer, ranking just outside the top three with 871 runs in 33 innings for the MI Emirates. He also leads the league for most catches (20) and is third in number of sixes (55), trailing only Hales (58) and Pooran (71).

Top Wicket Takers

  • Fazalhaq Farooqi (MI Emirates) – 50 wickets in 29 matches

  • Wanindu Hasaranga (Desert Vipers) – 39 wickets in 26 matches

  • Chris Jordan (Gulf Giants) – 35 wickets in 24 matches

Afghanistan pacer Fazalhaq Farooqi sits at the top of the bowling charts with 50 wickets, becoming the first player to reach the milestone last season. Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga has been the standout spinner for the Desert Vipers, operating at an excellent economy rate of 6.38, while Chris Jordan continues to deliver for the Gulf Giants with his consistency and control in key moments.

Highest Individual Scores

  • Alex Hales (Desert Vipers) – 110 (Season 1)

  • Tom Kohler-Cadmore (Sharjah Warrior) – 106* (Season 1)

  • Tom Banton (MI Emirates) – 105, 102* (Season 3)

Hales once again leads the list with his powerful 110, while Tom Kohler-Cadmore’s unbeaten 106 and Tom Banton’s twin centuries round off a list of standout individual performances with the bat.

Best Bowling Figures

  • Fazalhaq Farooqi (MI Emirates) – 5/16 vs Dubai Capitals (Season 3)

  • David Wiese (Gulf Giants) – 5/20 vs Sharjah Warriorz (Season 1)

  • Naveen-ul-Haq (Sharjah Warriorz) – 5/38 vs Gulf Giants (Season 1)

Fazalhaq Farooqi’s 5/16 in Season 3 remains one of the finest spells in DP World ILT20 history. David Wiese’s 5/20 for the Gulf Giants in the inaugural edition and Naveen-ul-Haq’s 5/38, the first-ever five-wicket haul in the league, continues to stand out among the most memorable bowling performances.

Highest Totals in DP World ILT20 History

  • MI Emirates – 241/3 (20 overs) vs Desert Vipers, Season 1

  • MI Emirates – 228/2 (20 overs) vs Desert Vipers, Season 3

  • Dubai Capitals – 222/3 (20 overs) vs MI Emirates, Season 1

The 200-run mark has been crossed 12 times in DP World ILT20 history, with MI Emirates producing five of those totals, underlining their dominance with the bat. Their 241/3 against the Desert Vipers remains the highest team total in the competition and came in a commanding 157-run victory, the largest winning margin in the league. Their second-highest total, 228/2, also came against the Vipers in Season 3, while Dubai Capitals’ 222/3 against MI Emirates rounds off the top three.

Highest Partnerships by runs

  • Andre Fletcher & Tom Banton (MI Emirates) – 198 runs for the 2nd wicket vs Desert Vipers, Season 3

  • Colin Munro & Alex Hales (Desert Vipers) – 164 runs for the 2nd wicket vs Knight Riders, Season 1

  • Kusal Perera & Tom Banton (MI Emirates) – 157* runs for the 2nd wicket vs Sharjah Warriorz, Season 3

The highest partnership in DP World ILT20 history came in Season 3, when Andre Fletcher and Tom Banton combined for 198 runs for MI Emirates against the Desert Vipers, setting up a mammoth total of 228/2. Colin Munro and Alex Hales’ 164-run stand for the Vipers in Season 1 and Kusal Perera and Banton’s unbeaten 157 for MI Emirates complete the top three.
